i was going to get it before the RPS sam from jspec said it was great, but i got such a great deal on the RPS (way below retail cost) i was very pleased.
and many of my friends use the RPS and love it (they also track their cars often), so i didnt think twice.

a good shop would have no problem shipping or support overseas, im sure RPS wouldnt mind at all, a customer is a customer, no matter where they live.

Your is for 240sx right?
http://www.turboclutch.com/max_nissa.html
in this page the 3st, for my car I think would fit the first but I'm afraid of this
"Pedal feel is stiff to very stiff and engages smooth" ... :bite: for sr20det pressure increase is 80%, for your 55% on the sport series is 17% and able to handle 280lb torque..
thanks for help Dousan!

I have the same clutch as dousan. Its rated to 475 ft-lbs iirc. It is not heavy, it feels SO good, not THAT hard to drive, definitely easy to get used to.
What i like about it is its still a full face disc so it allows some sort of smooth engagement on the street. This is good cause i have a lightened flywheel (you need to rev the fucker to not stall). I would DEFINITELY reccomend this clutch, plus its great for drifting (hotrodv, i know you drift your car i've seen the pics on ziptied).
If you can't get it straight from www.turboclutch.com go to www.splparts.com, Kuah is good people and if you pay for shipping, he'll send you anything you need.

Yeah that's the one i have: MS-17538-ST.
It will be awesome for you, trust me. Yeah i drive it on the street. I like it MORE than driving the wussy-ass stock clutch.
Here: Better prices and one-stop shopping. http://www.splparts.com/Parts/SilviaShared/Drivetrain/Tranny/default.asp
Scroll down until you see this:
RPS max series clutch uses a stiff (+80% for SR, +50% for KA) pressure plate, with street organic disc (rated 475ft-lbs for SR, 400ft-lbs for KA)
http://www.splparts.com/Parts/SilviaShared/Drivetrain/Tranny/RPSMaxStreet.jpg
THat's the one you want, i dunno if they list they RPS part number by it, just so you know what one it is, its the RPS MAX Street series. Capable of 475 ft/lbs. Cost from SPL Parts is $350.
While you are browsing SPL, you shoudl get the braided stainless clutch slave line, 1 single speed bleeder, and the upgraded stronger clutch pivot bolt. And you have a dealership over there that can get you new throw-out bearing? Or just re-use yours if its in really good condition like mine.
p.s. about ziptied... i there are acceptance emails sent only once a week. I moderate the rest of the forums, i don't want to be burdened with sending out the emails and shit, i dunno who does that, but you should get something soon.

You could always try bolting up a bigger fly wheel from the truck KA's and using a 280zx clutch with it. I think its 15mm larger in diameter. I read it on ka-t.com. The guy was using that set up under 10 or so pounds of boost and it didn't slip. He said he got it all for like $150 from a car parts store.

With the clutch isn't included anything? damn It's hard understand that parts in english..
Read that excedy have alignement tool, release bearing and pilot bearing..
also rps have it?
DoriftoSlut

I had an Exedy before my RPS. I think they all come with alignment tools, but mine didn't have any bearings in it. Usually kits will only come with the clutch disk, the pressure plate, and an alignment tool. I've always had to buy the bearings seperately. I bought a brand new throw out bearing before i put the Exedy on and it was in real good condition and didn't make any noise or have any play, so i re-used it on this RPS clutch. No problems.
As for those other parts i suggested getting, the line is only $12 and the bleeder only $7, and they are worth it, might as well pick them up. the pivot is $25 but if you do a lot of clutch kicks and stuff, this is a pretty good investment, just added durability for a saftey measure.

Next week I'll take a decision! GrC or rps..
Thanx all guys!!
DoriftoSlut
07-07-2005, 01:02 PM
Those GRC ones are only rated for 294 ft/lbs at the flywheel. That's lame. Those numbers can be topped even on a stock turbo no problem. I definitely suggest going up in rating by 100 ft/lbs than you plan to make when choosing a clutch for drifting. It will make the clutch life a lot longer.
"Horsepower Rating: 310 HP at the crank / Torque Capacity: 294 ft / lbs"

Pivot ball is worth it. I've seen a few snap from upgraded clutch kits. Might as well get one of those too.

After all I would seriously consider the rps,but damn this word on theyr web still fuckin my mind "Pedal feel is stiff to very stiff and engages smooth"
A friend of mine looking for a clutch too and told me about this one:
Spec Stage 2 - Clutch Kit w/ Kevlar Street Disc 395 lb-ft
Damn indecision!!! :smash:
DoriftoSlut
07-08-2005, 03:26 AM
SPEC SUCKS!!!! It blows apart and desintegrates!!!! Even on an NA KA> Happened to a friend of mine. Fuck those clutches.
Dude, the pedal feel is REALLY good. I have the RPS, it is 100% streetable, and you are used to it after 25 minutes. Now i stomp every stock clutch to the floor wondering why its so soft.

spec doesnt suck. never ever had problems with them.
You're lucky. I have a shop that would give me a good price on SPEC. But they refuse to sell me the clutch b/c of all the bad experiences. Plus my friend's SPEC that desintegrated. I dunno what or how you drive your car but I clutch kick all the time and drifting puts a lot of wear on clutches, worse than anything else. SPECs hold power, but they don't withstand abuse. That's why i love RPS. It does both.
ACTs are kinda in the middle, imo. I've seen a lot of ACT get fucked also.
Oh, as another note... My friend Amanda has an ACT in her car (comparable to my RPS). The pedal feel is wicked stiff, i can't understand how SHE drives it. RPS is way easier than the ACT.
I'm sorry to sound so biased, but i have heard and experienced nothing but good things from RPS. Quite opposite, mixed reviews for ACT and a lot of negatives for SPEC.
