dohc ka
yes, i am an idiot
i took off the cap that's held on by two screws
the injector is sitting in the rail staring at me
do i screw it off?
pull it out?
it doesn't want to move and i don't want to break the backing as its only made of plastic. the FSM doesn't say. the solution must be blatantly obvious. my guess is you screw it out but i'd like a confirmation before i go to town.

i could only get one out with my hands by just turning and pulling. for the others.... i put those cap screws back in about halfway and used them as a pivot to pry the injector out with a flat-head by the squares in the injector top. this doesnt mar up the injector like using pliers on the top portion would.

First spray some wd-40 in there and let it soak for a few minutes. Then twist the injectors a couple times using pliars. Then put the screws back in about half way and pry the injectors out using small flat head screw drivers on both sides of the injectors.

i did it how flybert descirebed minus the wd40 and turning them around
2 flat head screwdrivers, smaller sizes of them
the injector has a notch on each side of the unit
put one on each side, pry up
pops right out mega easy

If you only wanna remove one. Loosen the 2 screws half way, and crank the motor(with dist. disconnected). Sometimes it just pops right out.

If all else fails, take the fuel rail off and push the injectors out from the bottom. Super easy that way, although a little more labor intensive.
