---dont flame I already searched-----

Im looking into buying some 15" 0 offset konig rewinds for my 91 hatch but the manager at my local aftermarket parts shop told me konigs are peices of shit. Now I dont know if he's trying to get me to buy more expensive rims or what and he seems like kind of a moron. So I want ask everyone here a few questions

1. Do they realy bend super easy?
2. I understand they will stick out like half an inch but if i roll my fenders will it still look stupid?
3. they also offer -9 offset, does that mean it sticks out further then the 0 offset?

I have always wanted watanabes but i dont have the money for a set nor do i realy want to spend that much money on rims. So when I saw konig came out with these rims I thought it was a dream come true. Please take a minute and answer my questions if you can.

1) cast don't bend. they snap off.
2) YES.
3) Yes...

If that part store has been around for awhile. It's prolly cause that part store manager knows what he's talking about.

Whenever I see this disclaimer, I will search for something that might have prevented the thread from having taken place, because it could have been settled with PM/IM... I will then, if only to be an asshole, post my findings to prove to the offending newB and everyone else watching that either:
A. no search took place, or
2. the search terms used really sucked, meaning the user sucks at the internet in general
... that being said, let us post my findings:

http://www.zilvia.net/f/showpost.php?p=648628&postcount=10

and feel free to browse the rest of that thread for comments and such

yeh, my search term was "konig rewinds" i dont think it can get any more clear then that. That thread also didnt answer any of my questions, nor did any of the other threads that came up. Most threads were people selling those rims. If i had asked were to get them then maybe that thread would of been helpful. And rather then wasting my time sending a "PM" that may or may not ever be answered I created a thread that was answered immediatly.

thanks only to "S14DB" who seems to be the only one who hasnt wasted my time.

1. do not hug the curb.
2. look at PHILP's finding. does it look like it sticks out or not?
3. learn what offset means first before you ask this question.

i'm not trying to flame.
just do MORE search and study.

IMO, just get what you want. i think it doesn't look that bad at all.

i know it sticks out a little bit, i was askin if it would look stupid if pulled or rolled the fender. The picture does help alot, but without seeing it in real life i dont know for sure.

I think im gonna get them, just to bad they dont make them any bigger, im building the car to be very light weight, im trying to bring it down to around 2200lbs or less and these rims are pretty light and fit my budget nicely.

Thanks for your help

I can sell you 2 Black Racing watanabe ripoffs, but they're a shitty offset

I think if it "looks stupid" that's your own opinion. There will always people that disagree with whatever style you like. Don't worry about it, if you come outside everyday, and see your car and smile, then that's what doesn't look stupid.

Don't come to this board for opinions, use it for facts.

Also, when you do a search, don't just search the ONE thing you want to find, search all the terms you were asking about i.e.: Offset, cast wheels, Watanabe RS8, and then search your konig rewinds.

Your best bet when searching is USE GOOGLE. OMG I lurve google!

I had a set before I went 17s, they fit perfect IMO, very nice wheels in a nice size and pretty light. The -9 offset is only on 14s, 0 offset on 15s only. Need to roll fenders, but no pull necessary, maybe just a little camber.

How do you guys know how much it'll stick out with only the wheels diameter and offset?

something is telling me that this guy is running a spacer. From the pics I have seen, the 15x7 +0 are 10mm short of being flush with the fender.

If mine EVER get here from T3, I will post pics and let you all know how they fit.

Ive had them for a while and they have held up nicely with the abuse no probs
Also they dont stick out at all if anything its sunk, but my car is slammed and madd camba yo

yea, with camber you get a sunken look, but with around 0 offset, it will rub the inside of your fender lip if it isn't rolled. Now, i know not many run a 0 camber, but it is flush right around there. even closer if you use a wider tire, i had a 195/60/15

2. I understand they will stick out like half an inch but if i roll my fenders will it still look stupid?

BTW- rolling your is not gonna effect how it looks

Also, good luck getting your car to 2200 lbs.

No spacers. 0 offset will stick out on an s13 unless if you run negative camber.

well ive sold maybe 20 sets of konigs.. ive never seen any problems and my brother's maxima was in a big accident and the wheels were one of the only things that held up. so unless your a real hardcore driver and plan on drifting and what not.. i dont think you will have a problem with them cracking
