removing airbag diagnostics module

I'm currently sound proofing and clearing clutter out of my s14. I just installed a sparco steeringwheel and no longer have a need for airbag equipment. Will there be any negative effects of me removing the diagnostics module?>>under rear seats, slightly raised off the floor of the car.

I would think the car would run fine(dobt the ECu will really care), but youll probably get the airbag light on all the time on your dash. Maybe you could remove the bulb.

Just try to unplug it and run for a bit, and if no problem, take it out.

You can remove it with no ill effects. You can also pull the entire airbag harness, though you'll kill the horn/cruise completely unless you build a bypass harness.

as for the light, the easiest fix is to just pull the SRS fuse.

If you need the T-50 Security Torx bit adapter, I have a snap-on tools part.

Just remove the crap and sell it on ebay. I got $230 for mine from another board, and body shops pay for the bags as well.

Probably don't need the torx bit, I just uesd a vice grip on mine.

Might be able to get even more $$, I sold mine (both bags and the electronics) for ~$500 on ebay.

Awesome!!! I see many asking for higher prices for the bag assembly on EBAY, but no one ever bites.
