my sparkplug cover on the sr20 is pretty beat up. any suggestions on how to paint it? obviously you cant powdercoat it. any pics?

spark plug cover??? is that what you call your valve cover?

Idiots. He's talking about the spark plug cover, not the valve cover. It's the grey piece on top of every SR20DET.

ANYWAY

umm STAYING ON TOPIC

id recommend using a high temperature spray paint. Visit any hardware store and they usually have high temperature spray paint since the sparkplug cover IS under the hood with that hot turbo. just wipe off all the grease and grime on that shit with any adhesive remover... primer (also in spray can form), then paint. dont over analyze it, just paint, dry, done.

Just leave the cover off then. I hear it lengthens the life of the coilpacks by reducing the heat when the cover is off.. dunno if its true or not, but sounds good to me even if it is marginal.

Also, being in California I dont think you want a cop to pop your hood and read something that says turbocharged clearly written on the top of the motor.
