ok so earlier my swap was running and everything was fine. it died in the middile of the road... and i havent been able to use it since. I have been working on the car rfecently and fixed my fuel pump fuse from blowing. (it was a short in my fuel pump harness.. i was running a switch to it. removed it, fixed the problem.) now im finding out only my first cylinder sparks right now. So i'm think its the ignitor chip, right? But my friends SR runs my IGNITOR chip no problem. i have power in all the wires as well. Another thing i have 2 ecus. both are e5 as my SR is a 95 blacktop. when i connect one, the fuel pump will turn on and then die.. like normal. on the other.. the furl pump doesnt even turn on. The same friend's Blacktop runs both ECUs no problem. Hwat am i missing here?
why only 1 cyl?
anyone loacted in riverside/corona able to help me out?
thanks.

Dying right in the middle of the road indicates typically faulty wiring. Your ignitor chip is fine if it works on your friends.
where'd you wire the fuel pump to? Im guessing your running a s14 and s14 sr? The reason being is the pinout may be different on each ecu im not sure which model they belong to. I doubt either of the two ecu's is bad. I suggest sticking to one ecu. Whatever ecu you used when you had the car running, and was it running and died in the middle of the road cuz it went from 4 cyls to 1 cyl or? We needa know whether it was ever running properly on 4 cyls. Go over your wiring and insure that you have the 12 volts to each coilpack when the ignition is on. Take the plug out, and undo the harness to the coil pack, test to make sure you have 1 ground, 1 12volt, and 1 signal should be going up once you have the car idling if im not mistaken probably .02 -.05 volts. Also did you put in new spark plugs or are they the ones from japan, make sure they're changed and gapped properly.

thanks for your help.
the car ran fine on all 4 cyls when i had it going. the engine is from a 95 180sx on a 91 coupe. I've done swaps on s13s before. im not all that new to this... but i am STILL learning the trade of the swap. The only thing thats not connected right now is the power steering pump and the ac. i havent been able to take a volt meter and check the voltage. so far i've doubled checked the wiring harness plugs by the battery terminals, and made sure everything is where it should be. i checked with the ca18det FSM and the s14 sr20det fsm and both lead me back to the ignition/fuel. im getting fuel... but the spark? only on the first cylinder. just remember everything was runnning fine.. the spark plugs are new. they arent gaped, but is that whats making it not spark on all 4 cyls? after my car died in the road, i want getting any new spark. after soldering the harness together (instead of twist and tape) i regained just one spark. i'm thinking it has somthing to do witht that BLUE/RED mated to the RED.
thanks again for your help. BTW, i just ran a power line from the battery to the fuel pump so i could turn it on any time i wanted to. this just caused the 10 fuse to blow all the time. i'm not doping this no more.
