I was looking at the Nismo parts for the SR20DET (motor mounts, SS lines, etc...) and I ran across something called the solid pivot for the drivetrain. What exactly does it do? I have no idea what it woul be used for, but any insight at this point in time is appreciated.
P.S. I already searched, found something on some pivoting device but it was for cams, this isn't for cams.
Thanks in advance.

It's the pivot that the clutch fork attaches to. Meant for use with high-strength clutches so you don't break the factory pivot.

So this part is not a necessary one for a car pushing around 265 HP? For the money, seemed like a nice insurance policy. Also, will this part be OK to use with a stage 1 exedy clutch? Seems like it might be overkill, but if it is stronger, it may be worth it.

Bump. Lookinf for an answer to this. If it's too harsh of a part, don't want to use it on an almost stock drivetrain setup.
