I have no idea about shift knobs... would it fit the OBX short shifter? What about the stock stick? Does anyone know what these feel like? They sure look good, but I am wondering how it feels in your palm and how the grip is. If you're throwing the stick around pretty quick, you would think something with a little more grip than slick metal would be beneficial. Opinions? Experiences? I am definitely interested. Let me know! Thanks!

Scratch that - it was a review for the knob on a Miata :-)

well, i didn't read ur earlier review. So, i'll let you know my thoughts on the shifter.

It is a very good size, and fits ur hand very well. If you have very sweaty hands and like to shift VERY hard, i don't recommend this shifer, because if u hold on to the top, it is easy to slide off the shifter, however, if you hold down by the bottom of the shifter you will have no problem.

My main gripe about the shifter is how it gets extremely cold in the mornings. I have not had it in the summer, but i imagine that it will be the opposite effect. You get used to it. And to me, it is worth it. I love the feel and look of this shifter. The only other one i would consider would be the momo, but they are expensive. The price was right on this.

It looks and feels good if you can handle the temperature changes that go along with something metal.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Also, it doesn't fit right up to the boot on the s14, though i'm planning on swapping out my boot for another soon (mine is showing some wear) but this can be avoided with some minor modification...

yes it is the opposite effect...had my shiftknob in my car durin the summer and it got really really hot...to the point where i had to hold the shifter by the shift boot in order to shift...i dont mind it bein cold in hte mornin cuz with your hand on it shiftin it gets warm pretty fast...but it takes a while for the shiftknob to cool off when it is really hot

i bought that shift knob for my brother's 240. its hot in the summer, cold in the winter, and ####, sometimes the sun glares off the top. its not very comfortable because of the hard edges. its been about 7 months and the red emblem is about as faded as an 80's chevy shift knob.

The shift knob fits fine on a B&M shorty......thats the combo I have right now. The only thing is I need the #### sticker that sits on top of the shift knob. For some reason, no matter how I try the sticker that has the shift gate pic on it, won't sit straight. Its just how the shift knob threads onto the shifter. Thats it though, the shift knob sits perfectly on top of the boot as well, theres no gap in between. Looks real good........So if you can get your hands on that #### sticker I'll get that, other than that I love the thing, it does get unbelievable hot and cold, when its hot out just keep a rag in the glove compartment so you can put it over the knob when your out of the car. It should be fine like that.
