I ordered a set of gramlight 57 pro's for my rps13
f:17x8 r:18x9
I got a call today that the rear wheels came in today and the guy told me the lip is only 2.5" and only way to get a bigger lip with out custom order is to go with 17's and it would be a 3.5-4" lip.
Now my questions and concern is that a 2.5" lip in the back would look horrible. ne opinions or pics of how a 2.5" would look in the back?
Need to make a decision.
thanks

lol wow, if you are so concerned about lip why did you get those sizes. at least go 17x9 18x10.
People you order wheels from usually have no clue what they are talking about, figure it out on your own before you order them. The wider the wheel, the lower the offset, the bigger the lip.

57 Pros have NICE lip sizes, just gotta know which one to get
57S pros suck, 18x10 +20 are only 3 inches :( The 57 Pros in this same size would have a 4 inch lip
and the result is

its the offset that gives it the lip size, it doesnt matter about the diameter of the wheels, just get a super low offset if you want a huge lip

not necessarily, it also comes to disc design
Gram Light 57 Pros Disk B
18x10 +22mm offset = 84.0 lip
Gram Light 57S Pro Disk A
18x10 +20mm offset has 68.0 lip

...
There shouldnt be any difference b/w 17 and 18 in lip. Ask them what the size and offset you are getting. And what size and offset they say has more lip...

problem im running into is b/c i have 4lug, which i knew would limit me in wheel selection
Be careful, most disc shapes that allow huge lip will limit you if you decide to upgrade your brakes.

you better learn to drive 1st, otherwise you won't be on those "lips" for long. .. .Enjoy what you have, considering, it seems to me, there was no prior research commited to the ideal of the size you had an idea for. Trust me.

if you want 4inches of lip you mite need negative offsets. NI YON ZENKI has over 4inches of rear lip but he stands at 18x10 -20 to achieve that. the fronts are also 18x9 -9 in face2 so choose accordingly. skip you make even less sense with every new post haha, besides when did his driving skill come into consideration? prolly just cruise wheels not drift/track wheels. lay off the weed man haha, jk.

just get roja formula 5s in low offset. that shit has the biggest lip on it, its retarded.
edit looks like they dont make them anymore. just get 5 lug and some wheels that dont suck. dont order expensive ass rims just because they are 4 lug.

Weed or not. I beleive driving a modified car should take an amount of respect for the Enthusiasm of the practice. If you have not done your homework to locate a proper set of wheels, any part for that matter, for your canvas, You should not be driving any car with whatever intentions (advice or not) you Should.Could. and Would get back. Because it dawns (on me) that there is no real dedication to the development of that piece of art. I myself was lucky to have been provided with my canvas already designed within the realms of my imagination, but I got it, custom kicks & ALL!. . .On the Opposite tho, it carried its faults, but you build with them. Not Around them. Period. Thats Me. .. .Enjoy the 17x9's Duke. Oh and the fronts are 18x9( -7), not 9. Do yah Homework, hahaha, Much Love AAron.
i think you should go 17x9 all around...it lets you rotate tires...since when did it become necessary to put a staggered tire setup on a 240?
