I'll be driving along at a steady speed and the power will seem to dip down for a second then catch itself. Sometimes it is worse than others. At one point tonight it would hardly rev at all...it would just bog down and kind of gargle. This problem has also extended to the car's idle. It usually ideals fine but if you leave it alone for awhile it will die.

I have a walbro fuel pump and nismo fuel regulator that is set at about 30psi (I'll have to look again for exact psi). The tuning on the car is completely stock as far as I know....any Ideas?

definitely sounds like a MAFS issue, have the same problem on KA`s all the time. clean/replace your mafs.

I think it's the maf also especially because the problem has been getting worse and worse over time...I can use the 300z twin turbo MAFs right?

RB26 Mafs are the worse Mafs out of all of the Nissan ones, they go bad all of the time. I am almost positive that the 300sx ones are slightly different. I can get you some form over here if you can't find any in Florida...Let me know...Dave

I'm interested in two MAFs...how much are they?

Fuel pressure is 38 with ignition on and 41 while running.

You should definately make sure that is the problem first, I would hate for you to spend the money on them and that not be the problem...I have a few sets...pm me...Dave

I have to ask. Do yo have an intake balance pipe on your 26?

What is an intake balance pipe? The engine is competely stock as far as piping goes. The only thing that is different is a huge fmic.

I'm gonna check the wiring going to maf and whatnot later tonight...maybe I'll come up with something. I've heard of a kit that removes the mafs, anyone know about this?

that would be a standalone... you use a map insted of mafs

can you run VPC on Nissan motors?

The balance pipe go's after the mafs and before the turbo's. It conects the two intake pipes together so the vacume and intake flow is equal, rather then one Maf reading more flow then the other. It is a very common problem, when the 26 people upgrade intakes, or have a restricive balence pipe. D-jetro PFC for the 26 is an option for no MAF's. Everything is plug and play, other then tapping in the MAP sensors. And you will have two map sensors for the rb26 d-jetro.
