tein HE height problems....

okay so i bought these new long over a year ago and began adjusting the height with the spring seat like an idiot....... not shure how much i lowered the car but i red the manual and adjusted them back to factory spec and then lowred from the strut shell. the height adjustabliliity is maxed but i still have 2 finger gap in the rear... i have 16's on 50 serries... n that doesnt sound right..anyhow i was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem,,,

they dont go low in the rear.

i got them when they first came out for super cheap.... under 1100 which is the only reason i bought them.. oh well. softer spring rate = less bounce i guess AHAHAHHAHA

I had less than a finger gap in the rear when I adjusted my HE's. I sold them and switched to drift spec

I don't know much about the HE's, but why can't you lower the spring seat slightly to compensate for the gap? Most lower-end coilovers adjust height only from the lower spring seat. Just don't lower the lower spring seat so much that you sacrifice suspension travel.

Tein HE almost maxed. 17in rim with a 45 series sidewall. In the rear mine is tucked about 10mm +?

My rears tuck too, and they can go much lower. I'm running a 215/45-17 on my S13.

im running 16x8+27's w/ -1.7 degree camber rear and -2.2 degree camber front... the front is maxed out yet and i can still lower it another 2 inches or so until it has maxed to the spring seat and lock. but the rear on the other hand has maxed. I understand that the closer the wheel is to 0 the more it will stick out and with my experience on 0 offset they will flushen up on the fenders w/o even lowering the vehicle.

for instance i had 15x7+20 and they were sunken in with the same height, i opted for 0 offset and they sat flush w/o any tire gap so maybe when and if i run some 15+mm spacers it will get rid of the gap.. time to make a run to the local tire shop for some bolt on spacers... let you guys know how that work out later.
