i already tried searching and couldnt find anything. my friend and i were bored so we rented a compression guage from auto zone and got these readings. i remember reading somewhere about good #'s and bad ones, but i cant find them...

My ka24de
1=175
2=180
3=175
4=180

My friends ka24e (i might be off give or take 1 psi, im posting his by memory)
1=160
2=165
3=161
4=167

off of the 240sx.org faq (http://www.240sx.org/faq/articles/compression_test.htm)

"Compression Pressure kPa (kg/cm2, psi) / RPM
Standard = 1,236 (12.6, 179) / 300
Minimum = 1,040 (10.6, 151) / 300
Difference limit between cylinders = 98 (1.0, 14) / 300"

how do you do it at 3000rpm? the throttle was wide open, we did it the way we knew how to, cut fuel, remove all spark plugs, and crank the engine with the guage in each sparkplug hole

the specs are specified @ 300 rpm (not 3k), which is the speed your engine *should* crank at with the starter when the motor is warmed up. variation in that speed will cause variation in your numbers.

lol oops sry, it was late, i mis read it, but yeah throttle was wide open and i think it was at 300
