I was driving to the dealership to pick up oil filter for my 240sx... saw a nice 240sx vert, I pulled next to it... WOW, that convertible is NICE, I mean everything is perfect - it can be put into the show room and you can't even tell the difference.
I went inside and asked the sales person if the car is for sale :hyper: ... Apparently it's a customer's car, and it only has 11,000 miles on the car (92 240sx vert) .... It has always been garaged, and only drive in summer time, actually less than 1000 miles a year.
I talked to the owner (little old man), bastard won't sell the car - I don't think I could afford it either. little old man is buying a G35 and keeping his 240sx vert. :mephfawk:

Lowest I have ever seen was a red fastback for sale on some little bullshit lot near my cousin's crib... It was a 91 and had a hair over 73k on it, that is an average of about 5200 or so miles a year. It wasa 5-speed, but the lot owner wanted whoever bought it to bend over and lube up, sumbitch was asking $7800 for it and was not willing to hear anything less.

I bought my 90 fastback for $1200 with only 60,300 miles two years ago. I now have 87,000 on it.

i assume we are talking about chassis miles? casue if we are talking about engine miles, mine is the lowest i have seen. i think i have like 3200 miles, yes thirty-two HUNDRED miles. fully rebuilt from the gound up (all factory certified internals) engine block. oh and its a 95 KA. w00t. too bad i have like 190k on the chassis, but its still straight as hell, no rust whatsoever (except a little on the hatch... curse you foam! curse you!).

my 90 hatchback has 56K original miles!!!! Yes, 56K. I bought it from the original owner who had all of the service records, he hardly ever drove it, and kept it garaged. The only reason he sold it to me is cuz he was going to give it to his son as a graduation present, but his son joined the army and went to Iraq! The car is SPOTLESS. The interior is absolutely FLAWLESS. It is charcoal metallic, paint still looks good, plus I threw on a set of Type-X tail lights (the real ones, not the ebay ones!), I also dropped my SR into it recently and I will have it running any day now. I have owned it for a year, kept it in a storage unit and I only put like 300 miles on it.
So, if you guys are jealous, you should be. But, you are in luck, cuz I will be selling it soon. I also have a 91 sil-80 and a 93 coupe SE, and I want to build up a coupe now, so that is the only reason I will be selling the 90. I will be asking close to $9,000 for it, the SR swap is close to stock (actually, it has quite a few mods, but I am trying to keep it simple and extremely reliable. So, if any of you are interested, let me know at
[email protected] . AND PLEASE DO NOT MOVE THIS TO THE FOR SALE SECTION. THIS POST IS ABOUT MY MINT CONDITION, LOW-MILE S13, SO IT DOES BELONG IN THIS THREAD.
oh well,

The lowest I have seen was a 89 two tone on ebay with 34k. As far as mine, I pick one up from a good friend at night time, asked him how many miles are on it, he said 140ish. I woke up the next day walked over to the car and spoted 239xxx. So he was about 90ish off:)

^ Damn! I was impessed with mine being 1132nd one made (september/88) . 22nd is crazy. I wonder where the 0001 is. Is there a way to find out who owns it? I would buy it for tripple the value, and store it in a barn:)

Well.
Theoretically, the first 100 240sxs off the assembly line were for testing, advertisement, and R&D for aftermarket companies, and all were supposed to be returned for Nissan for research and eventual destruction.
The story behind #22 (as I recall) was it was given/sold to Xenon (or it's kit designer) to develop their bodykits. It wasn't driven much and ended up sitting on a farm in Norcal somewhere. One of our fellow 240 enthusiasts saw it sitting in disuse, and offered to buy it from the guy whose property it was on.
He realized pretty quickly that it was #22, and kept on going with his plans to swap in an SR. It was white.
That's all my spotty memory can recall. I'm sure someone who remembers better than I can would be able to shed better light on it.

I never knew that. Thanks, for the info mrmephistopheles. I searched Auto Trader yesterday, to find the earlyest ones made. I found #132. So by what your saying, its the 32nd 240 available to the public. Pretty impressive

Definitely not the same car I'm talking about. This one is just a bare-bones maroon hatch, all stock, that my buddy bought from some kid that broke the engine. Maybe I'm wrong on the 22 part, but the VIN is definitely in the double digits.

I think the 1st production car off the line stays in the Nissan Dream Garage or on a shelf somewhere in saran wrap.
