problem: tried to install fuel pump.... didnt get to do it due to time restraints. Reinstalled everything back the way it was, but now it feels like the car is not getting enough fuel and stutters (really bad). No hoses are leaking from a visual check. Burning oil. Need help ASAP. We think it might be air pockets trapped in hoses.

it would have been quicker just to install a new one instead of reinstalling all the other stuff. try that.

If you dont want to, then check the filter and all other things around the pump to make sure its not clogged, check the connections.maybe they are corroded and it has to be a certain way to work properly, donno thats all basic stuff though, I dont know what else but im sure others could help you.

ok woke up, turned it on and it acted like shit. removed the fuel pump fuse and started the car to relieve the pressure and the car started normal until it stalled because taht was what it was suppose to do. Then i just put back the fuse and it started really bad idling again. Bad idling in my case is the needle moving up and down under 1000. Still need help. No mechanics are open on sunday

It is probably backfiring because when the intercooler pipe came loose it made the car run rich. And now the plugs might be fouled.
