wheel play

i've been hearing some clicking sounds from the drivers side front for a while and decided to have a look. my wheel has a extrodinary amount of play in it. i have had the wheel bearing replaced within 15k miles, so i am thinking it's possibly the knuckle spindle? i can't really tell were the wheel slop is. but it's my entire wheel, rotors, caliper everything just moves. also wheel bearing is not making noise which is why i am thinking spindle... the movement is like camber \ /

any other ideas?

Make sure your bushings aren't shot to hell. If it is only camber, make sure the eccentric bolt for factory adjustment isn't loose.

Is there an eccentric bolt in the front? I can't remember, but I am thinking that there is not.
Have you taken your wheel off and looked at everything? Do you have any aftermarket adjustable parts? I am thinking specifically camber plated on the strut top. Make sure everything is bolted down tight. Have you looked for any missing bolts? I can't think of any reason the knuckle/spindle would cause this problem, its a pretty tough chunk of metal. I am thinking more like something attaching your suspension along the vertical mounting points would be loose or missing.

no factory camber adjustments in the front.

any updates rabbit? my passenger side is doing the same exact thing and i was ready to get a new wheel bearing. crazy play and most if it happens when you push/pull the top and bottom of the wheel. i was also told it's not the wheel bearing, but what makes the clicking? i took my wheel off, brake pads off, and spun the rotor by hand and it's still clicking.

Play and noise both, that's a wheel bearing. Nothing else rotates in the front end. The spindle has no moving parts and is one piece so it if was the culprit you'd have a wheel rolling away while driving. Strut bolts could be loose enough to cause play but they wouldn't make noises like what you're hearing.

An improperly installed or overtightened wheel bearing won't last 1000 miles, and all it takes to trash one is a light run in to a curb or even a good size pothole.

well i looked at it again, it's the whole hub assembly, i can see it from behind the rotor, the whole thing wiggles. will any brand wheel bearing do? i was thinkin of heading to the local parts store to get one asap.

edit: scratch that i can't find one anywhere! all i can find are rear bearings. fro the front, can i get just the bearing itself or do i need to buy the whole hub assembly?

S14 front bearings are not replaceable separately, you need the entire hub. S13s are, but I've never found them anywhere else except from the dealer.
