how do you guys get these to work? i am trying to replace the door speakers in my s14. get back to me asap..thanks!

6.5" is the correct size if no one before you added larger ones... They mount further in and should screw right in there though, unfortunately I am completely without pictures to show you what I mean... The hole further in mounts them just fine, where the one furthest out is a lot bigger.

its the factory basket the 6.5 goes in..the clarion factory speakers are what are being removed, and being replaced with polk 6.5's..but isnt lining up its like the outside ring needs to be 1/8 or 1/4 inch larger

Then turn them a little bit and drill your own holes, it'll take 5 minutes and won't kill you

i cant man, thats the problem, the ring is too small. if i line up one hole, the rest of it is inside the ring for the mount

OHHH!!! You're saying the circle is that much smaller than the OEM ones... Looks like you're screwed if you looking to get this answer from me, you may wanna consult someone who has better problem solving skills

They're probably "oversized" 6.5" speakers. Which are really 6.75".
