View Full Version : how to transport front clips

just wondering how you guys got your clip off a flatbed. Getting it on of course is no problem, but getting it off is the tough part. I mean is it possiable with like 6 guys er something? I have a cherry picker put i don't know how much it can handel.

engine hoist the clip by chaining each strut to each other and ift up by the middle of the chain.. roll back the flatbed and carefully move the engine hoist back and lower the clip onto some blocks of wood or something.

Use the picker, mine can support a ton.

Or just get 5 people to pick it up and move it.

We used both methods.

2 big pieces of 2x4, jack the clip up with the flat bed tilted.. and drive the truck away slowly

Bolt wheels on the front hubs and wheel-barrow it! That is of course if the front hubs are still there, that is how my brother did his.

if its crated u can also try and bolt those small casters on the bottom and wheel it off the flat bed to where ever you want...

Yeah my brother said it worked great, and used a jack to pick up the back, the wheels on that just rolled it down the driveway. He and one other guy did it just themselves iirc.

you can put it on a tote and then move it with one of those forklift thingies.

just pick it up, it aint that heavy. no need for cherry picker
