I think my tranny is screwed. My clutch slave cylinder went out, so i replaced it. then I couln't shift (really stiff, pedal wouldn't come all the way back up). replaced the clutch master cylinder. still unable to shift. Pressure builds just fine and the pedal comes all the way up. but i still cannot shift. When i start in gear, ofcourse i start to roll, and my clutch doesn't slip. when I start out of gear, I am unable to get it into any gear. if i pull hard enough, im sure i could (in theory)
I had been budgeting my money so I could do a RB swap in a month, but I need my car. I work out of town. I really dont want to pay someone to put in a clutch for me, and then pay someone to do a swap.

What do you think would be causing my problem?

Should I just do a SR or CA swap now, instead of waiting a few months for the RB, Or pull the engine and replace the clutch?

please keep in mind that I would have to pay someone to do all the work for me. I reciently moved from WA to CA and dont have a shop or the tools anymore (believe me, I would do the RB swap myself)
anyone with a shop?

I would just stick with the SR swap. Get a Stage 2 clutch (or whatever you prefer).
The RB swap will change the balance of your car significantly.
Either ways, they (the installers) are going to have to take out the engine and tranny. I don't think they would mind installing a new clutch for you.

P.S. Cali smog emissions are strick. Either engine you choose, it won't pass the smog here.

happened with my friends auto/manual swap, check your mc, make sure your pedal screw thing is adjusted all the way so you increase how much your slave pushes out, even though we did that it still didn't work, so we put a 7 mm socket into the slave cylinder pin, so it pushes it out a lot, but we grinded/adjusted the size down a lot so the clutch wouldn't slip

as far as emissions, I am going to keep the car registered in Island County Washington. My parents live there and they do not have emissions in Island County. :bigok:
