"and there is no such thing as a reliable 400 hp ka"
Does anyone have any feedback for that? My friend with a pretty beefy SR told me that. I'm not sure which section this would go in, but I'm putting it in here anyways. I wanna know how you guys feel about this..
your friend is an idiot, its on the edge of needing strengthened internals, but anything can be done
Pauter rods, new forged crank, new pistons, decent cooling, tranny and diff, anything is possible.
Tell him to shut it

Foster's 430rwhp KA-T, Rick's 540rwhp KA-T...

Problem with the turbo? Turbo is fine.. it's the manifold that blows.

Just leave a note on his windshield saying "KA-T.org". And you're set.
Uneducated fucks piss me off.

^^ haha yea he'll probably go on it and be amazed..
anyways, stock crank is forged. just get some pistons and rods for the block and pretty much set. manifold, turbo, ems or reflash, and fuel.

ask him if you cn try to reach 300hp on an SR with upgraded headlight fluid, and muffler bearings. And 20rwhp from an intake.
My buddy fell for that headlight fluid shit. he got pissed like a girl. =D

When I picked up my '95 back in '01 there wasn't much support for the KA, if at all. There were a couple of turbo kits (F-maxx, greddy?) and not much support for proper fueling and what have you. Back then, it was all about blowing the KA because of all 15 piggyback pieces of equipment used in an attempt to get the fueling correct. News flash: Improper fueling + boost = blown engine. I don't care what you're driving.
In my quest for being lazy, and not wanting to do another swap (I've done so many honda swaps, for not being a shop owner or mechanic, it's sick) I started to do some serious research regarding boosting the KA. The more I read, the more I begain to realize it is the ONLY way to go. With the EMS, the pistons, cams, manifolds, etc that are available make it the cheapest way to make awesome power. Like others have mentioned, look at ka-t.org (http://www.ka-t.org), PhatKA-T.com (http://www.phatka-t.com/forums/), and see what they're doing.

Yeah, I am sorta familiar with KA-T setups, (just have done my researching for a while) so I decided to go down that route.
