I was about to be green with envy if it was e30 m3. I will get one, but when ever I have the money, nore there is not crap, or 17k restored ones. Have fun with the e36, Pull out the drive way, and the girls will flock. :)

How heavy does the M3 feel. I heard E36 M3 are quite heavier than an E30 M3...

i have a friend who swears by BMW's. I drove an E36 328is and it felt heavier than my 91 TT Z32. I'd never sell my car FOR an E36, but Id definitely buy one. they're gorgeous cars and even though they go for dirt second hand, people still assume you have an assload of money cause its a BMW. Even a guy in a 318 can get play if it looks good. People hear Nissan and think sentra, girls hear BMW and drop thongs. But vagina/dollar factor aside, I prefer the light nimble feeling of an S13 to a BMW, they just feel heavy. That and my 92 n/a S13 took my friends 328is and an E30 325 (almost didnt, side by side till 80 and pulled on him the rest of the way through 3rd and the start of 4th and he gave.) Would I get an M3, hell yeah, but it'll be parked next to my 2 S13's and out only on dates and daily commutes.

your n/a s13 might be able to take shitty old beamers, but it would get stomped by an e36 m3. while they might feel heavy, add on that extra ~50-75hp and amazing suspension that an m3 gives and they turn into one of the best stock cars around.

to the poster, congrats on a sweet ride, youll have a ton of fun with that beast! and i might be thinking of a different person on this forum, but aren't you fairly young? like 17-18? damn i wish my dad gave two shit's about cars haha :fawk:

well the 328is was a 98, not particularly old. And im not saying I beat an M3, I beat an E36 328is. Just saying, the M3 is the epitome of what any E36 owner wants his car to be. Definitely sweet cars, I'd just never sell either of my cars for one.

Very nice Brian.
I'd follow you the M3 route (i've wanted to ever since I drove my first e30 M3 back when they were new), but I couldn't pull it off.

Me being japanese; I REALLY do not want to be another asian driving a BMW/Mercedes. I refuse to fall into that stereotype! :P hehee

E36s are great cars, especially the m3
feels totally different from an s13 huh? i have 2 good friends with modded E36s (neither m3s) and theyre beasts. i personally hated how the steering wheel was so close to the dash and it was hard to heel toe and it was alot less nimble and tossable then a s13. but the powerbands great, handles great, and at 6k they make the sweetest fuckin sound ever!

how many miles are on it?

I have been racking my brain all day about whether or not I have seen this car around town and te "middle eastern" assessment reminds me of this one I always see around near my job and guess I will not be seeing anymore.

philip the guy is a loan officer at a bank, he still has an M3, he got rid of this one because he bought a supercharged one:)

the M3 is fast, hands down its great, it doesnt have the go-kart feel of my s13 that i loved, but it handles so much better, stops SOOOO much better, it is exactly what i wanted. I was looking for a car that felt like i was riding in my dads Mercedes, and driving my s13, and so far this ///M3 does it perfectly:) this car makes me wish i wasnt in a relationship already though...lol... sitting down at the stereo shop showing everyone my car, and this fine ass blonde with those long dark legs you cant resist walks in, "who's car is that, i want it" hahaha

I am sorry for you.

My S13 is a far better drive than our E36 M3 is. My car is running 8/6 springs and some spherical bearings and STILL squeaks less than the M3.

Nice!

I think im in the same boat. Ever since I owed a e30 way back in the day I fell in love with BMW's. My next car will most likley be a e36 M3 Sedan. Possibly a GC8 Impreza converted to RWD (that is if I can switch to AWD and RWD reletivly easy as the seasons change... but thats probly just a waste of time.

hell yes. i bought my neighbors E30 325 when i was 14. i LOVED that car. someday, i will have another E30. S52 swap. dinan supercharged. i almost bought a 95 lux instead of my 240... (dont ask) i see you also got the luxury model? wood shit on the interior, non vader seats, lux side skirts! pretty swank dude. i am jealous. i had an E30 325, E32 750il (V12 woot). i worked at the local BMW dealership when i was 16. drove every car they made, except Z8. if you ever get the chance, drive an E39 M5. amazing. smooth as glass, and 400 horses under your right foot. amazing amazing vehicle. have fun with the M. take care of it.

well, i don't have a M nor a BMW, but i do have the alternate German car, and Audi A4. I can confidently say that was the worst move i have done. The car is heavy, lacks response like a lil jap car can do, and sqeaks in every move it makes. I am also Asian and i did fall into the luxury "wanna look rich in a gay ass German car" syndrome. Should have never sold the S14!

Awesome car, I've always contemplated on doing the same move ever since I first drove one. I still admit I look in the classifieds and @ craigslist occaisionally. I loved driving the ///M its soo much more comfy as a daily driver. I could never sell the S13 I'd probably be making the S13 a weekend/project only car. Oh well maybe in the future! Sides that I'm picking up a Kawasaki Ninja this week w00!

Currently own a BMW e36 325, and am selling it for a 240sx. I can't believe the amount of Nissan/BMW enthusiasts. Seems like a bunch of smart people in here ^_^. The BMW is great, mine weighs almost 3400lbs or something and it handles great (not even an M!). With the chip she revs to 7200 and let me tell you, only a Ferrari sounds as sweet. Unfortunately I'm 20, and I don't have the money for this thing anymore, so I'm going back to Nissan.

Honestly the 2 best names around are Nissan and BMW. They make some of the greatest cars around, and it's cool to see you guys appreciate a good car, no matter what country it is from! :w00t:

Now buy my E36!!!

Yeah, sorry, the A4 is nothing near the level of the E36 M3. Buddy had a new A4 and it was just a fat, clunky VW. Please don't let this be represenative of the rest of the German cars (Porsche, BMW... Mercedes I guess, don't like them much.)
