Do pinch welds serve any other purpose other than to bend and rust??

Seriously....the seam in front of my jacking points look like crushed tin foil! :eek3d:

My other car has the same kind of jacking point, they call it a crush weld, and the rocker seam has some surface rust on it but at least its not bent to hell like the 240.

I'm gonna have to bash the seam straight to get my sideskirts on.

Should I even worry about the rust on these rocker seams?

I think yyou should worry about any and all rust found on your vehicle. Rust spreads like herpes at Spring Break. Fix it right to begin with. :D

Yeah, and condoms don't work on cars. They tend to melt away quickly. Melting latex is NOT a fun experience. Ow.
