it's the tranny, yes i need a new tranny...

F*UCK, S*IT, A*S, B*ITCH,

..............................

i cant really afford to buy a new one so im going for a used one, i located one with 144km on it for $450, im hoping to find a better one for a bit cheaper.

how much should i expect to pay??? i wont be having it shipped, i want to pick it up in me moms van...

the place with it for $450 also has the valance i want so i'll try to swing it, but is 144km too much??? my car just hit 180km...

i also thought the labour would be a whore on my wallet, but i gave ole Welland Nissan a call and just like last year when they did my timing, he had the quote in 3 seconds at $256 canadian $$$.

he says "you buy her, i'll put her in, no problems"

i love those guys, if i were an ugly chick i'd bare their children

Just out of curiosity, how did it go from an exhaust leak to a tranny? Was it noises or power loss that lead you to believe exhuast leak?
Don't feel bad though, I need both! Luckily, I found one at a junkyard 80 miles from here that has 44,000miles on it, with the exhuast and tranny. I just need to hope I can install it all &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>

i thought it was a loose connections at the cat, cause i just had the N1 pu on, and it was coming from under the car near the the front, and it sounded liek a whistle kinda, but more metallic like,

i'll take it in to the nissan guy to have him confrim the problem

to save soem money go to the junk yard your self and take it out. learn on the junk yard expence <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
then when it comes time to put it in your car you will know what to do. its realy not that hard just a pain in that ass if you dont have acess to a lift/garage

I know from experience that u can take out a tranny and install it with only ramps(dont let them sink into the ground like mine did) and jack stands so if i where you save the money and do it yourself.
