For my sil80, built block SR, full downpipe exhaust FMIC and such. Greddy e-manage, ssautocrack mani, taka lines, etc.

Goal is for good 7-9psi daily, and wanna go 11's @ the track with 18psi.

Both now seem to be the same question now that the gt2871R price went up, so 2 questions.

Both are identical in the sense they use same mani, same downpipe, same hotpipe, mild intake fab needed. . so no diff there. No major diff in price either. Both are BB centers. A lot of similarities.

1. which one will be better for quick spooling daily, but still kick @ the track ?

2. for mainly street driving which trim, .64 or .86 ? I know the .64 is more responsive, but off FA I saw the dyno of both side by side and it seems the turbo takes a few hundred more to spool up, but once it does is strong till 7K rpm's. if I did the .64 it says maxes @ 350, but reality is ~290-320rwhp. . . whereas the .86 says 400 and would be around 330-370.

LSD isn't in but is in the way, and clutch will be right behind it.

gonna do 650 or 740cc injectors and z32 mafs once I find them!

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

where do you get "in reality 290-320 hp? i've seen the turbo put 363whp(.64) on an SR... and 413rwhp(.86) on one as well
basically, newer technology, so go with 2871r, and gt25/40r does require you to trim the motor mount, while the 2871r just bolts in...
and if you don't mind lag, fo with .86

And i'm sure with some insane mods they get that high, but I don't think i'll ever that that amount of mods to be able to get that high, like intake mani, pulleys, cams, etc.

if it's 300-500 rpm's worth of diff I don't see a diff, but if it's mostly daily driving I should probably stick with the .64 then huh?

You need a headgasket, exhaust, and the right fuel supply and tuning. You can make 400hp with the .86 on a close to stock motor. Cams would help to.
