aight so im installing flywheel, pp and clutch, the fsm says this

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/ivanthieme/ka24de-pp-install.jpg

I totally fucking missed the pattern to tighten the bolts, but had my torque wrench set to the correct maximum torque (14 for 1st step), the problem is the tq wrench wont click and i dont know when to stop, i thought I was overtorquing the bolts so i stoped and tested the wrench on another bolt, and to my surprised I broke the bolt in half even before the wrench clicked... now i dunno if i overtorqued tha pressure plate bolts orif they're about to brake or even if the flywheel isnt jacked up b/c of overtorquing... should I replace all my pressure plate bolts ??? and how do i know when i reached X amount of torque on the bolts ???

my main concern is, would overtorquing the pp bolts screw up the flywheel??? BTW I didnt brake any bolts in it... :faint:

any advice is greatly aprecciated.
thanks in advance

Well, I wouldn't be too worried about the pattern , I don't think you're gonna warp the flywheel too much, plus most of the time it gets resurfaced anyways. I'd say if its not too much trouble, drop it down and redo it, but if you're like me I think its a pain in the ass, and it is a trouble.

I'd be more worried about undertightening those bolts, don't sweat it, the worse that can happen is that you won't be able to get the bolt out which hardly ever happens.

actually, not worrying about the pattern is prolly why you broke your bolts. cris cross pattern at least or you'll put an uneven pressure on them when you tighten them.
if your torque wrench doesn't click, it's broken. just replace the bolt you broke, tighten them all down in a x cross pattern to the specified torque.. the FSM suggests that stuff for a reason buddy
good luck

i think you misread my post, i havent broken any bolts and i missed the torquing sequence, I didnt skip it on purpose... the weird thing is when I installed the flywheel the tq wrench worked perfect... go figure :smash: :tweak:

use one of the cheapo needle type torque wrenches
they have been proven to be more accurate time after time

you broke that one.. haha, get a new wrench. and as long as the pressure plate is on already, I guess it's ok. Just make sure they're all at spec torque

that one wasnt on the clutch assembly, i disassembled all the bolts and inspected them, they're allright so now i re-installed the bolts w/o using the tqwrench and they are nice and snug... :boink:

thanks guys
