i have had a problem with the motor recently since i change the intake to a regular one you know short ram. when its cold it starts up great but after driving for a long time i stop turn the car off to go into a store come back out it gives a hard time to start and if it does start and wont pass 1,000 rpm and shutts off even if i pump gas.
also now im hearing knocking noises but no smoke that says i have a cracked engine and the oil is there wut is up with this!!!

try replacing the coolant temp sensor. if it is faulty or the connection is bad, the ecu won't know if the car is warm or not and dump a lot of fuel on start-up. This is why you can start it after it sits for awhile.

Also, check for codes...

Where Is The Coolant Temp Sensor

i'm not sure on the KA, but on the SR, it's right beside the throttle body tucked back under the fuel injectors. There should be 2 plugs: the one with 1 wire is for the cluster temp gauge. The two wire sensor is the one you want.

If you haven't already done so, you should download a copy of the fsm.
