View Full Version : S14SE wheels w/ 300zx brakes (spacers required)?
Just like the title says. I feel bad for asking this, because i've been around this forum for 4 years and i KNOW i've seen it answered. But i searched for a good 40 minutes and found nothing. So either i suck at searching (VERY POSSIBLE) or the posts are gone...
So, the question remains.
300zx 30mm calipers on s14 w/ the stock SE 16" alloys. Do i need a spacer? if so, how big of one. I'd just do the install.. but if they don't fit back on, I can't get to work anymore :-D. Thanks!

i know the s14 SEs fit over 26mm, but someone else will have to jump to confirm for the 30mm...im pretty sure they clear...if they dont you dont need that thick of a spacer, but since your getting them anyway, you might as well get a 15-25mm adaptor and bring those SEs out more...

no spacer.. but the offset is +40 so if you have tie rods you cant turn all the way because the tires will hit the frame rails.
Do you need spacers w/ z32 wheels on an s14 w/ z32 calipers?.. gosh i swear there was some situation w/ nissan wheels that didn't fit.

so i take it that R32 GTS wheels should have no problem running z32 30mm rotors and calipers in the front too?

wouldnt doubt them having problems since z32 and skyline brakes are somewhat the same thing.......... i have 30mm z32 running stock se wheels no spacers

I have 300zx brakes with SE wheels and they fit fine. The 26mm vs. 30mm has nothing to do with the wheel size because it's referring to the thickness of the rotor. The thing you have to be careful of is making sure you get the same year calapers as rotors. I accidently got 30mm rotors of the newer 300zx with 26mm calapers of the earlier model and it's a real pain because the inside of the calaper has to be customly grinded down.

Correct, they fit no problem. GTR wheels fit as well... of course.
