Hey,how's ot going guys? I just wanted to introduce myself to this board, I am only 15 So I still have not purchased a car yet, but hopfully in a coupe of months I will have 3g's for a 89-93 240sx. This board also seem verry mature.

Anyways Check out this months issue, if anyone has 3G's and ready to buy a car I encurage you too pick up this magazine for a great guide to building your own JDM Silvia K S13.
I still haven't got my hands on it but I'll be sure to pick it up tommorow so dont ask me any questions on the article
All I know is that its a turbocharged 438ps KA24DE-powered 240SX.

Actually, I just picked this issue up yesterday. Nice price for such a thick magazine. It has details on three different s13s, an KA24DE running 423 hp, a complete silvia conversion and a $3000 SR20DET swap. Pretty interesting stuff.

first off welcome to the board. Its good you are hear at an early age.

About the SCC I think eveyone on this board has read it by now. It is possible to get an SR in an S13 for 3K but VERY hard. First you have to find a car (preferably w/ a blow motor for cheap price). then ou have to find a front clip for cheap, and you have to do all the labor by yourslef (with a few friends). Don't get your hopes to high, getting an SR powerd S13 will range from 3K-7K.

Before you purchase your car find out as much as possible about the car etc.

Here are a few links for help:

Thanks alot for the info. Like i said this board seem real cool, and the people are real nice, most boards i been in they would just laugh at the idea of me being 15 and wanting to get a car...

Question... How come I dont see my Topic in the main
chat page of this forum... i think page 80? How come everytime i post I never see my Topic on the top of the board?

Okami, (80) means there are 80 pages of post under the chat section. The reason yours does not show at the very top of page one is cause there is a post that is "pinned". Which means it always number 1. Now you post should show up as the second one if you post a new post or someone replays to your post.
Now realize that there are a lot of people that post here so your topic will not be at the top for long.

The cool thing about where they got their motor is that the store is located in Sacramento, CA.

I'm from CA!!! w00h00!

In order to get those prices, you'd have to pull a few strings. I bet they'll sell you regular ol' joes a full clip for about $2000-$3000 and the Silvia face for $1000-$1200. It's going into a national car magazine well, like SCC, it's all advertisement. SCC can whore out with advertisement, they'll get shit cheap. Simple as that. That's their "hookup" price. That motor only had 60,000km on it too.

Ha, if only we could do full silvia conversions (body and engine) for 2 grand before shipping/install..

There'd be S13's everywhere.

Like I said, two words, "sexual favors".

That'll get people to lower their prices. Hahahahhahaha! Anyway, seriously though, reality check, $2000-$3000 for an SR full clip, depending on mileage, condition, and where you get it. Then the front end is around $800-$1200. If you don't know how to install engines or know jack shit in general about SR's, be prepared to plunk down $500-$1000 for an engine install, plus some extra cash for parts and fluids that needed to be replaced. That's all I know.
