Ok, I've got 2 sets of Bridgestone coilovers. One set has standard Eibach 2.5" springs and of course that part number is easily decipherable. They are
for the front 700-250-400 and rear 800-250-400, first numbers for height (7" and 8"), second set for diameter ( 2.5" ), and third set spring rate ( 400lb/in or 7.16kg/mm ). A little unconventional in that they are running the same rate front and rear.....
But on to the question regarding the second set. They are also bridgestone as mentioned above, but a different series and possibly from a completely different time period. They do not seem to be utlilizing eibachs on these and I can't seem to match up the part number with any of the common spring manufacturers. They are labeled as follows :front 1756507, rear 2006507. Now I take that to be, first three digits for height in mm(6.9" and 7.9" ), second two for diameter in mm ( 2.55" ) and last two for rate in kg/mm ( assumed to be 7ish as above ) And again the same rate front to rear unless of course I am just full of it.
Anyone have any insight? Am I correct? Do you know who may have manufactured the second set?
