So I have the 5zigen rocket2000 catback on my s13 right now as well as a gp sports g-sonic replica kit. The issue is that the zigen' has too much of an angle and so it rides right on the kit's exhaust cut-out. Well I could have a muffler shop cut and weld it to fix the problem... but I want to dump the 5zigen all together (i've already been pulled over once for it). So I'm looking for suggestions of other exhausts that wouldn't have this issue - either straight exit or a mild angle and are not insanely loud. any suggestions? (i searched and came up with a few options - rsr, blitz realize tt... i really like the gp sports exas spec d pro - but no one has them in stock and i need to correct this issue within the month :( )

yah.. fiberglass is easy to cut..
OR
ditch the bodykit all together and keep the exhaust
=D

i think you all missed the point - i don't want this exhaust anymore. it is too loud for me. anyone know if the angle on the hks hi power is going to cause the same problem?

Notch the bimper, have a muffler shop add a resonator to your exhaust...Problem solved.

Edit...WOW. I just realized that I registered last year and havent posted...

i'm not going to do squat to the bumper (it's in paint right now). i'm not going to do squat to the exhaust (some of my friends have modified their aftermarket systems and that led them to sound like ass :ughd: ). just looking for suggestions of other aftermarket systems that are quiet and exit straight or with a minimal angle

Any of the non "N1" style exhausts should fit. If you want another N1 style exhaust then I would try HKS or the greddy unit. The greddy one exits pretty straight IIRC.

thanks - i was looking at that greddy one. seemed like it would work but i never saw a pic of it on a car so i couldn't tell.

hm.. if you get an apexi n1 'style' type of exhaust.. it'll be pretty loud.. my friend got one.. and yeah, it was loud. afterwards, he got an hks one.. but this time w/ 2.5 straight piping. it was pretty loud, because of the fact that it's straight piping.. a gutted cat.. and an hks tip. i'm sure if you had an hks tip on your car, it wouldnt be as loud, but the tone would be deeper. i also have the same hks exhaust on my car, (s14) but i have 3inch straight piping, and my car is no where near as loud as my old one (n1 style) or my friend's car (because it's 2.5 inch piping) i dont know if this helped.. but yeah. greddy's exhausts are pretty good, and i think those might be the ones you're lookn for.

you could always throw a silencer on..

change exhausts. If you already got pulled over for it. It is probably too loud. Go with an RSR one for low decibels. Bling bling exhaust are too eye catching.
