My SR motorset didn't come with a MAF, i was wondering if i could just use my stock KA MAF. are there any problems when doing this? what are the differences. thanks

You can use the stock single cam maf, but not twin cam. I used my stock single cam maf for a few months up until I upgraded to a z32 unit, 550's and Enthalpy tuned ecu and it worked fine.

To clarify...a redtop SR can be run using a '89-90 KA24E MAF.
S14 SR needs S14 SR MAF...
S13/S14 KA24DE MAF's do not work with any SR.

i lied... i have another question concerning the SR MAF and KA MAF. Is one better than the other, performance wise? does one maybe have a bigger inner diameter. I hear the SR MAF inner diameter is 60mm what is the KA MAF? thanks again.

S13 SOHC KA24E MAF is same as S13 SR MAF...same size, same performance.
There is NO other plug-and-play option that is better...you'll need to upgrade to J30/Z32/Q45 or something else, with a retuned ECU or S-AFC to get a less restricive MAF.
Wait until you get bigger injectors, and go the retuned ECU route...better than piggy-backs.
