i have a s14 ka motor auto tranny and it shifts from 1st to second fine but then it wont shift to 3rd or forth, and reverse works, what can it be?

how hard is it to convert a s14 ka motor auto tranny to manual and who does this kinda thing local to me (951,909,714,562,626,818,760,213,310,e.t.c)?

try changing the fluid, ive had weerd automatic transmission issues that went away with a fluid change

it could be your tps, before i did my 5 speed swap, i cleaned my engine and got my tps wet. well my transmission was doing the samething you are describing so check that.

Take it to Nissan and get it pumped full of new Nissan-Matic fluid. It's like 12quarts and should be powerflushed. Should cost like $140.

If that doesn't work it's cheaper to swap in a 5-speed.

just got a tranny, now just have to find some1 to install it. its from the exact same year too, just take the old out and slap the new in. maybe ill try tha tps thing too, and a fluid change too first. thanks all
