my friend checked my plugs last night while i tried to turn the motor over and he said that one was popping harder than the others. well after a few mins i started losing spark. i know if the ignitor is bad than i would have no spark. is it the same for the coil packs? if i was getting weak spark could it also be a ground?
thanks

It could be a bad ground, or a bad coilpack(s), or bad sparkplugs.

We put Iridium plugs in that my friend had but not sure what they were gapped at. we just wanted to try it. i put a couple extra ground on the motor (one on valve cover and one on itake manifold) to make sure they were grounded properly. are there any other grounds i should check? also, is there a way to test coil packs instead of just replacing them? would attempting to push start it be a bad idea? probably just to eager to get it running that im not thinking very well but i figured maybe it just needs a little extra umph before it wants to go.

I have the same thing going on and i have tried vacuum lines, new rotor and cap, i am getting fuel and air, good compression... i just don't understand why it just stopped running. Went two blocks down to get gas, get two gallons and pull out.. then 2000 rpm 0.. wtf??

Download an fsm and check resistances on the coil packs, diagnostic charts and might as well make sure the gap is correct.
