i have a 92 coupe with a power antenna... my problem is that when i came out to my car the antenna looked liked someone had just yanked out a foot or so of the wire part of it? my antenna wont go up or down anymore now and i cant just push this teethed-wire part of it back in. so how the hell could this have happened and do i need to just buy a whole new one now or what? sorry if this is too confusing

They were made with a plastic rod in the inside. The plastic normaly brakes, and that is why 80% of the s13 with pwr antenna dont work any more. Infact I have only seen one s13 with a unbroken original antenna. You can buy the antenna now with a metal rod so you wont have to worrie about it braking again. All my cars, I just pull the antenna out all the way and Im good to go:)

well i can pull it out all the way, but i still have the whole plastic thing just hanging off of it. its sad to hear the motor trying to make it move up or down, but just not be able to now. so should i just chop the plastic thing off or replace the whole thing?

Chop the plastic off....Ha Ha I took the whole assembly out then put the old antenna in the empty hole, added some rubber stuff I found in the garage, and a little black silicone. Im a cheap ass...
