Wow another "It won't start" thread. this should be quick and simple. if your clutch pedal was not bled correctly and it wasn't returning completely, would that keep the car from starting? i figured as long as the tranny is in neutral and the clutch sensor button is pressed it would start. am i right? also, would a bad MAF keep the car from starting up? the car turns over and coughs some but won't fire up. i could understand the MAF killing the engine but would a bad MAF or bad MAF wiring keep it from even starting?
thanks fellas.

It will not keep you from starting as long as the button is pushed down. I would first check for fuel, then spark then timing, then go from there. With the MAF bad, the car will still start, but wont rev past 3000rpm so thats not your problem.

i got fuel, spark, and timing is still oem with the oem metalic tape on the CAS. i did mess with wiring and i only spliced all the wires (just wanted to try and see if it would start). Im going tonight and Im gonna re-run the wires and crimp all my wires. O2 sensor wont keep it from starting either right? only would cause me to run rich? if you have spark coming from the coil packs, then you would have spark in the plugs right? (assuming the plugs are good)

go over your wiring again near the battery, if its cranking but not starting.
on heavythrottle.com there is one part that mentions a red and a blue and ablue and a red, i had this problem mixing them up or sometihn and it sould crank but not start.
check that out,
matt
