Alright,
As most OBDII guys know, our intake manifolds look like a birds nest.
So many vacuum hoses in there you dont even know where to start.
What did some of you guys do to clean up the intake manifold?
Theres so much crap on top, on the side and EVEN inside the loop of the manifold that I dont know where to start.
I was thinking about swapping an S13 Intake manifold onto my S14 and calling it a day but im not sure if it would bolt up into my car with no probs.

that's cool and all, but the DIY on Nico is s13.. not OBD2
either way.. the main point is the same, yah?

I wouldn't remove any of the OBD2 stuff unless you are going standalone.

My god why? The EGR was the first thing to go when I went KA-T because the pipe got in the way. Everything else is on it's way out in the next 2 weeks on my OBD-2.

sorry for the revival.. but I got my intake manifold off right now.. and the s14 mani looks a lot different than the s13 on the underbelly of the lower mani. I can't follow that link, some of the hoses go places I don't have and vice versa. Anyone have pics of a cleaned up s14 mani from the underside?

Remove everything just like a 13. Cap the extra vacuum ports off, remove the EVAP volume control solenoid. I don't have pics but it's the same idea, you should be left with the IAA and IACV, nothing else.
You can even run new water hoses and get rid of the hose->line->hose deal on the bottom.
