Ok, ive had my 97 RHD S14 Silvia for a while now, it apears us Africans got Britian imports as they have the foglighted rear bumpers ectr.
Its engine (sr20 as they all are here) was in bad shape when i got it, soon diagnosed with a Head gasget leak, imidiatly when pulling the valve cover i thought modded jap import as it has no VVT and aftermarket cams, pulled the head to find it cnc ported and ceramic coated, and the intake manifold apears to be extrude honed and ceramic coated to, was fitted with a metal head gasget but the previous owner said he did that cause he thought it was shot when mean while he had a bad BOV (retarded south african)
So all along ive thought he must have got a nicly modded jap import motor cause no where here in South Africa do you get Ceramic coatings for ports, CNC head work or extrude honing, and i know the previous owner couldnt have afforded to send them international for that work.. so I was happy,

After asking a good buddie of mine who is a SR boff about my stock oil cooling devise he left me extreemly confuzed. I told him I have a stainless looking round oil cooler mounted right above the oil filter tucked up neer the block that shares 2 coolant lines from the heater plumbing. He sounded a little confuzed then said only limited SR's came with stock oil coolers but wasnt sure which.
So was he confuzed and it is a common thing? or has somone put a rare SR20 into my S14 before i baught it? I remember reading about the S14 270R and a rare S15 Sr20 that was in limited production for a little while but does anyone know exactly what was changed on them besides turbo? and if any of them came with anything similar to what ive written?
