Anyone using one for a top mount? I was curious how long this set up has lasted you and if you had the welds redone for reinforcement? Thinking about picking one up but really concerned about cracking.

Thanks for any info.

if you make the welds stronger it helps alot. i know a few people that use them, they strengthened it up and they never had problems.

I've seen some people make brackets to help support it so that there isn't any weight on the welds

All stainless steel manifolds crack eventually with the exception of one or two companies. Personally, the only one that I know doesn't crack is the Full Race manifold but that things is made of unobtanium with a price to match. It's quality shit if you can afford it. Also, just to let you know. It's not SSR Autochrome, it's SS Autochrome. SSR makes wheels as you well know.

As for the SS autochrome manifold, there are a few things you can do to make it last longer. First, weld a flexpipe in your downpipe, then get nice exhaust hangers. Also, make sure to use the exhaust hanger bushing thing that mounts to the tranny mount. Your mani should last a long time if you do all these things.

One thing that has seemed to work for everyone is Jet Hot 2000. I've seen people with all kinds of bracing break. I think it has to do more with thermal expansion than support.
