I have heard alot of people say you can reset your stock ECU by unpluging your battery and letting it set for a few hours. Now I dont know what this would really do or if it is possible in any way. The reason I ask in because I have I/H/E and one of my friends said I should try it.

About replacing your ECU, has any one done this and does it really make a diff? Please let me know.

Nope- doesn't reset that way- you have to reset it manually. There's a zillion posts on this, go snooping around a bit in tech talk- you'll find it...
Good Luck!

This will reset your ECU.....back to original factory settings. (ie if your check engine light comes on and you know the reason but want the light off) It will NOT reprogram your ECU to take advantage of the mods you've done however.

I know the search feature isn't working, but posted a detailed message indicating how to reset/check ecu for both sohc and dohc. You can find it at http://www.240sx.org in the FAQ
