AIM/AOL Enhancements...

ok this is for the AIM Guys, what programs do you use with it? I used to use middle-man for chat logging and to remove ads etc... but it doesnt work with the newest aim.. so whats a good one?

Adium is the shits....can open multiple accounts, multiple chat programs, clean and intuitive

Just use trillian! It mates all chat programs 2gether. Pretty badass shit.

I use dead aim. allows duplication of the AIM program, and transparacy of the aim windows. and a whole lot of other crap I never use.

I use AIM Ad Hack 4.0.2. Removes all ads with just my buddylist showing and all essentials. Its great. I use trillian sometimes but I'm frequently on aim ad hack.

I went with the newest AIM and hated it, then I googled www.oldversion.com and went back to 5.5.3598

AIM+ with the 4.xx versions of AIM was nice. It was compact and everything but it didn't have the newer AIM features and wouldn't allow you to connect if you had a firewall.

dead aim is what i use. used to use aim+ but dont know why i switched. basically all the programs are alike. can take off the ads, tab all the IMs in 1 window, transparent windows blah blah. yeah

AIM BLOWS tho. I wish it would just die. Seriously inferior IM prog.

I hate that I have to use AIM, if it weren't for my 240 contacts that are on AIM, I wouldn't have to use such a POS software :(

i used to use trillian, but couldn't type japanese in it, so i had to use real msn messanger. then i thought, if i'm using 2 programs anyway, i'll just use regular aim too, and not have direct connect problems anymore, like i did with trillian. maybe they fixed everything now but i'm too lazy to go get it

Trillian is great...lots of interesting faces and very cool interface.
Just too bad it likes to crash every couple of days when viewing profiles.

i agree. i hate aim and trillian has always been shitty for me. gaim is sooo much better. i just like the nice and simple interface.

I use Trillian.....auto logs conversations. I cant get it to work with Yahoo IM tho....any ideas guys?
