i remember reading through a post where someone mentioned that they were able to put 225's on stock s14 se wheels.. and my question is does anyone know what the 'widest' i can put on 17 x 7's? right now i'm using 215/45's.. but i sorta wanna have a 'wider' look to them.. i know these are the right width for 7 in. wide wheels.. but if i go wider.. will i be sacrificing anything like handling, etc? thanks alot.

Get wider wheels. Getting a wider tire only makes them look all bubbly...and you get more tire roll...or so i think so.

Yes you will get more rolls due to the flexible sidewalls. I don't recommand getting fat tires with skinny rims.

its going to look bad...i had 225/50/16 and you could already see the difference...

the widest tire manufactureres recommend on a 7'' wheel is 245. But 8 or 8.5 is ideal for a 245

o okay thanks guys.. it's just i was comparing my friend's with mine (he has the r32 gt-r rims.. so he's using 235/60/16's) and the wider tires make it look alot more aggressive, and new wheels are sort of out of the question due to finances..

tire rack and other online tire companies have the recommended width for the size of the rim on their site
