I have my SR in, (S13 Redtop into S13 Chassis) and it cranks, catches, but won't start and run.

Mods: Walboro 255 Pump, Greddy Pulleys, Greddy Suction Kit, Greddy FMIC, Greddy Rocker Arm Stoppers, Jun Lightweight Flywheel, Blitz Nur Spec, Blitz DP, Unknown JDM O2 Housing, HKS BOV.

New Parts include a New O2 Sensor.

We are pretty sure its in the fuel, the injectors are reading the right resistnace per FSM Specs, the Ignitor Chip is ok per FSM testing procedures. Coil packs check out per FSM procedures, plus we have pulled them out individually to look for spark and they are A OK. The plugs on 2 and 3 are more wet than on 1 and 4, but this may be normal for all I Know. Vaccum is routed as instructed by HT FAQ.

I had the fuel lines backwards at one point, but switched them and it runs that same.

I had two different CAS, and tried both. Still the same. Car is in time per FSM, and we have played with timing with no results.

What makes us think it's fuel is when we poured some gasoline into the throttle body, it ran until fuel ran out then we'd poor more and it would keep going. It revved past 3k while doing this. I suspected a faulty pump, but it's getting fuel up to the lines and when i pulled them to switch them it was pressureized and shot half way across the garage, so i believe the pump is fine.
I'm gonna pull the injectors next and check for some suirting action cuz i'm not sure if they had ticked or not when I listened to them.

The motor seems to have good compression because it's hella hard to crank by hand when it's on compression stroke, and you can hear the air leave the pressurized cylinders as you crank. But I don't think the motor had been run for quite some time before I got it. Looked as if it had been sitting for a long time.

I'm REALLY confused.... any help?

Anyone? I'd really like to get her running.

Hook up a temporarily inline fuel pressure gauge and monitor what fuel pressure you should be at when you turn the key to ACC 'ON' position, if it reads anywhere between 37-42psi then you can say the fuel pump is okay, otherwise it's still hard to say if it's fuel related. Also possibily your crank angle sensor adjustment is still off, and you should test spark on all 4 plugs to make sure each one of the plugs fires up by grounding each coil/plug to the exhaust headshield.

Ok i have tested the coilpacks by grounding them to the heatshield already, they all fired nicely. I will try hooking up the fuel pressure guage to the lines and reading the pressure.
The CAS has been set to many different places and it catches best where it's at now, and if you pour gas in the TB as mentioned above it runs... not well, but i assume that's becasue the cold pipe is off to pour in the gas and it's causing a major boost leak. Along with the fact that the gas is not being measured out properly into each cylinder.
But I am gonna try to read the pressure and I'll post it back on here.. also i bought some starter fluid and some good old fashioned carb and choke cleaner. I'll see what I can do in the limited amount of time i have to fiddle with her tomorrow.

The odd thing is, is that as many times as we've tried to turn her over with out running, there is no gas in the oil... i was thinking there should be quite a bit by now.

do you have the fuel lines hooked up correctly?

do you have the fuel lines hooked up correctly?

Yes. At first they were backwards, but now they are right. In hose to fuel rail, return to FPR.

I can't here any noise coming from the pump when they key is in the on posistion. I have no back seat and no trunk carpet so I should be able to easily hear it. I could hear the factory unit. Even with a mechanics stehtascope I couldn't hear it. I think I should be able to, right? It's a Walboro 255. We're pulling it now to look at it.

chek the fuel pressure if not chek the voltage to the pump

you should be able to hear it plain as day from the drivers seat with no interior the pump should run for a few seconds with the ign on and the engine not running.

ok we took the pump out. It works when hooked straight to a battery, so i know the pump itself is good. replaced the fuse for the pump up front. It was blown, no change. the black and pink to black and pink wire connection up front on the wiring is good too..

how many wires are hot in the harness in the back near the fuel pump? I'm thinking the black/yellow wire should be hot and this would feed the white/purple wire on the other side of the harness which leads to the positive feed on the pump..... but i'm not getting any reading out of the black/yellow wire

hmmm
anyone know anything else i could check?
