Basically - how are you supposed to get stubburn injectors out???
I'm trying to get the injector outa cylnder 1 - nothin doin. Used some heater hose pliers to grab into the holes beside the ground point - just broke the plastic. I can the turn the little toad sucker, but I can't pop it out.
Now backlog for why I need it out...
About a week ago whenever I would jump in my car after it had recently ran/been shut off between 5-45 mins it would run REALLY rich - like smell gas pouring outa my exaust rich. I'd drive a half a block, and it would go away, no more problems. - this went on for about 3 days then it was fine.
Last night about 2 hours after driving it, I start up my car - it's running rich, only this time it doesn't go away. Gas is literally dripping outa my n1 muffler.
I first replace ignition stuff (thinking I have a cylinder not hitting - besides running rich I have lost power when not at wot) - plugs, wires, cap, and rotor are all replaced. ...still no luck.
Well with the new plugs in, I run down to the local speed shop (he has extra parts like mafs layin around to help diagnose problems) - as soon as I pull in I check the plugs to see if one isn't firing...even better, all are, but cylinder 1 is covered in gas.
Tryed to do a compresion check while I was there to make sure rings-valves were all good, but the dudes gauge was broke - (for awhile I thought my engine was fucked, then made him pop the hood on his mr2, and it showed no compression either) :)
So where I'm at now ...leaky injector is suspect #1 only I can't get my old one out. o, and I have yet to track down an injector around topeka ass hole kansas that will come sooner then 3 days.
