View Full Version : z32 rear
I just want to get this straight. r33 or r34 gtr e-brake cables will work on a s14.. now my question is do u have to do custom work like in smogtech's write up? or does it all just bolt on? I ask because he used z32 cables.

I think its only failry bolt up when you use the whole z32 spindle and you can't do that on an s14. I bought z32 spindles for my s13 for this purpose but believe the spindle won't work for an s14.
damnit now im confused... ill just wait for dousan's report and ill pick up from there.... thanks for your advise....

Translation???
Non turbo rear z32 5 lug hubs will work on any "S" chasis after 89(includes s13/s14/s15).

great misinfo
here's some advice
DONT POST
rears are interchangeable from s13, s14 and s15 for spindles and hubs
z32 NA is the one to use, TT has larger axle shit or somethng dont care because wont fit (bolt on wise)
my car i used z32 NA hubs, z32TT calipers, drums were z32NA, SS line is z32 (came from TT too, got w/ calipers), ebrake lines are ERR33
brian has ER34 entire rear setup, brake wise that is, and lines
direct fit, NO modification, bolt right in.
i dont know why this is so hard to grasp, its been covered a lot
oh for s13, no mods need for z32 lines, fits right it. had it on my s13 in case your wondering. worked great.

I knew the hubs worked but thought the spindles were different because they all look to match except the forward link. Don't ever tell me not to post. Who teh fawk do you think you are? You think you know all since you have more posts than me?
I said I didn't believe that the z32 spindles worked on s14 but knew the hubs did. Just say whats right thats all. People aren't going to think my words are gospel anyway since I don't post a lot.
This is why a lot of people hate this forum. Book judging...

good for you. cookie?
forward links on s13 and s14, s15 are interchangeable
lenght wise differs but bolt up is same
i have all 3 subframes and arms. they all work.
actually all arms are same
i had s13 adj arms on my s13 uprights and s14 uprights
and s14 adj arms ihad on my s13 with an s15 subframe
and now s14 arms on my s14 upright and subframe.
too many combos. s chassis is fun

First off, please call it an upright. The front piece is a spindle, not the rear.
Now, All S chassis use the same rear upright with only a minor difference in the shock mount (S13 uses a stud with a nut, S14 and 15 use a threaded pin with a bolt). The Z32 shock mount is a fork style, but with the correct lower shock mount it fits on any S chassis. My S14 has Z32 uprights. The only thing that won't work when using the Z32 parts is the TT, the toe link mount has a ball joint in place of the bushing for HICAS use.
