Hey guys I am low on cash now however I am in need of a clutch setup that will hold approx 280-300hp. I was wondering if i can use just a new clutch disc with OEM pressure plate and OEM flywheel and just replace the TOB and maybe the pilot bushing.
I would be resurfacing the flywheel of course but would i need to resurface the pressure plate and is that possible? What clutch discs are known for holding good power without slippage with stock pressure plate? Where is a good location to get them from?
Has anyone done this before? If so what setup did they use?
any help would be much appreciated

i have a nismo clutch disk with the stock plate, flywheel (with resurfacing), and new TOB. works perfectly fine for me, although my car isn't 280-300hp.

Mike I would imagine an aftermarket clutch disc would hold initially but coupled with the weak pressure plate, it would start slipping later. The only thing you could probably buy is a organic race disc or a street disc.
Just make due with what you got until you save up some scratch for a setup that can hold your 250-300hp range. I got an Ogura SuperSingle setup kit w/ Ogura Flywheel.....holds just fine however it's in the $2000+ range haha.
