I was wondering if there was anyway to disable the button you have to push in to get the key out? I have a 1990 240sx.

I would say use some glue, and just glue that sucker down. It doesnt bother me, but Ive been driving cars with them for 3 years now, first my Celica, now my S13.

Take apart the ignition there is a spring holding the button in place take the spring out and there you go it'll stay in. I have that done in mine we did it when I rekeyed an S13 silvia key for my ignition

I don't see how it's a problem. Just turn the key flip your index finger and the key comes out. What's so difficult???

An extra task that I see as worth it if it keeps my keys from falling the fuck outta my ignition while the car is running

yeah its not that bad man, shit if you remove the key 18,000 times you might have taken 5 seconds off your life with that extra task.

idk i never understood why there needed to be a button to hold the key in.
MOST cars dont have that button, and you still cant remove the key from the ignition while the car is running.
what is the benefit of the button? (holding key in doesnt count since this can be done by means OTHER than a button)

I want the button disabled cause the keys won't come out when the turbo timer is running so I have to wait until it shuts off

Why would the key not come out? What does that have to do with the turbo timer..?! I have a turbo timer and the key comes out just fine.

Did you not buy a harness and hardwired the timer to the ign.?

I've taken my key out so many times - I don't even relize I'm hitting the button as I rock the ignition switch back, and pull the key out in one smooooth motion.
