I just redid my tank along with my enginebay, and I got to wondering, if there are any other car losers that keep fish?
Anybody else or is it just me?

This pic is taken right after the new sump so it's a little 'green.' The sump and shrimp have made my water clear as crystal again.

I have four goldfishies. My tank is straight ghetto steez tho. 5 gallon tank. The fishies are tiny tho. 3 of them are like 3 yrs old, the other one I got a month ago from my zoology class, we used him in a experiment and I took him home in my water bottle, lol.
A couple plants & some rocks. Water filter & air pump that dont work right.. I should get a new one.
I might also get graphics for the tank too.. we'll see.
I'll get pics if anyone feels like seeing it.

I used to have all kinds of fish, some that are worth mentioning:
-Bettas, I used to have 10+ at one time. I love the short-tailed male bettas. I have also successfully managed to breed a couple :)
-A bunch of goldfish that were sometimes used as food
-Pirahnas. I used to have 4-6 in one tank. They would devour a goldfish in less than 15 seconds when they get the munchies.
-Snakeheads....these guys just straightup swallow their food, they can grow REALLY BIG. These fukers cost me the most money in terms of food. They're always hungry and can always eat more. They also eat feeders such as goldfish or any living thing you throw in the tank.
-Dragon Fish aka Arowanas...these majestic creatures are one of my favorites. These guys also eat feeders or meal worms. I've feed them butterflies, crickets, shrimps, and even spiders (lazy to drive 5 miles to buy food). These guys can grow HUGE in no time.
-Clown knives....aggressive fishes that attacked my Dragon fish. Predator fish.
I've found that I like predator fishes...it's nice to watch the hunt. I was going to buy some electric eels and sting rays, but decided that I was done with fish so gave them all away. I now have no more fish and my room smells much better. So yes, I am a loser :coolugh:

I definetly spend more time on my car....
But I spend a bit of time on my tank.
What kind of plants?
I'm looking really hard for dwarf hairgrass and glosso's....
Anytips on buying a CHEAP (gotta buy car parts ya know) pressurized CO2 setup? I was just goint to get a 10lb bottle from someplace that has bottles for beer taps, and just put a deposit on it... I still need a cheap regulator and what not and i'm cluless...
NICE looking tanks people! Keep um comming... I know there are some of you in the woodwork.

I'm looking to get back into reef aquariums. Just gotta find the time and room in a permanent house.
Had a 55 gal reef for 3 years, with about every fish possible. Addiction started freshman year with bowl, then 20 gal fresh, then 20 gal fresh and 30 gal salt (grouper and lionfish), then sold everything to get 55. When I do it again I won't do anything less than 75 gal, most likely a square shaped tank. Still got a RO filter setup somewhere.
Oh, and a recommendation, check out http://ffexpress.com -- especially good for cheap salt water creatures.

I had a Humuhumunukunukuapua'a, Clown Trigger, Porcupine Puffer, Snowflake eel and a Lionfish. Throw in a couple of feeder fish and watch the carnage. Except for the poor eel, they are blind and hunt by smell :(

i used to do the whole fish thing a little bit, but was always much more into reptiles and amphibians. Ive only got one snake left, and she's fits snugly in her DIY cage (5ft by 3ftwide by 28inches tall) all screened in. Now you wanna talk about carnage, toss a rat in there, thats carnage

if you're from the bay, check out albany aquarium for plants. they got everything.
for pressurized co2, sign up with sfbaaps and read their message board. those guys have been doing hardcore planted tanks for years and know all the deals. think they had a nice setup for around $100 for everything.
man miss the bay, nice mountain roads and fish stores. orange county sucks a big one on these two points and more. can't even get pizza delivered after 10pm in irvine. what the hell am i to do when i get the munchies, i definately ain't driving stoned.
