i installed my injen intake and now when coming to a complete stop my idle is going wild like i have big cams. i have to press the gas to keep the idle up, i checked for vaccum leaks, could not detect any. i just did my heads, installed titanium springs and retainers, port and polished the heads, though i don't think that would be the problem, had work done at a really reputable shop. any suggestions. thank you in advance.

Sounds like your injen intake is mimicing a bad Mass Air Flow Sensor.   Had a similiar problem when i put my K&N on my car on....  car didnt think it was getting enough air, so it smothered and died.

If you have access to your ECU, best bet is to check your error codes if there are any.  For all you know you could have nothing to do with your newly installed intake and coincidentally be your ignition wires or unit.

Good Luck.

Check to make sure the hose to your IAA valve is connected. If your not getting air from the MAF to the IAA valve it will cause a very rough idle.

i dunno, i took everything apart and put it back together, still has same symptom, only at a stop the idle is irratic, though the car is fine when moving, it has to be the intake because the problem only occured after installing the intake or maybe could be a coinsedence the mass air flow sensor went bad? dunno. thanks sykkchimp will triple check connections.

try putting the old intake back in.  (If you kept all the hoses)  I know when I got my intake the hose sizes were wrong..  i had to use the hoses where they fit, and cut about 4 inches off the 15" hose to connect to the adapter plate.

my friend said the exact same thing, put the stock air box back and go from there, so your saying l can leave the intake in but use the stock hoses, i'll try that to, before putting the stock air box back. if i put the stock air box back then i'll know it's either the maf or the hoses. thanks.
