So I was cleaning the back of the shop and I stumbled on ALOT of rims. I came across this certain set that really caught my eye. They were 5 spoke, deep dish, aluminum wheels. I THINK they're american racing, but they fitted on the supra at the shop. The thing about them is, the tires are all crusty. How can I take them off? I don't really want to take them to a shop because I wanna learn myself. I also need to take these off ebcause I want to paint them. any help?

buy a tire mounter balancer

or go ghetto tool style.
i wont give details because i dont want to be responsible when you lose an eye or finger

make friends with the guy at the tire shop, that way you will have a hookup on tires and he won't charge you to mount and balance them, so long as you actually put them on the car yourself, never having to pull it into the shop he works in

Agreed...that way you won’t screw up your wheels or hurt yourself...the machines are not forgiving

You can take the tires off without taking them to a tire shop if you insist, its just going to take you a few days to do it. I was watching drift tengoku and this guy took off and mounted new tires with just a jack, and a few simple tools, but it took him about a full days work to mount and remove about two tires.

Pics of the wheels would be nice.
