I currently have a 95 240SX and about to swap 98 motor into it. Question - would a 95 ob1 wire harness and ecu work with 98 motor? Thanks.

It will with a little wiring.
EDIT:
As in the ecu's are a little different...
The electronics are a little different...
But it definetly CAN work.

There's no need to 'make' it work. Use the 95 coolant, TPS, and O2 sensors and just leave the extra EVAP parts unhooked. The motor itself is no different, there's just a few added parts, none of which you'll be using.

yeah, the engine should work.. sensors on the two will be a little bit different, but nothing serious. and i believe that the 95 ecu will work though

You might be able to just swap intake manifolds and all of the vacum hoses/ wires that come attached to it.

ur stock mani and harness will bolt up... remove intake on the new engine...

i know that the ob1 ka intake mani is different compared to the ob2 ka intake mani. i don't thinks its really necessary to swap the intake mani since i'll be using the 95 ecu/harness on the 98 motor. or should i?

Swap coolant and TPS, just like I said a few posts up that you apparently skimmed right by.
