i have some all black altima fans... what ever year those are from..... and i want to wire it when it needs to come on.... on my s14 my stock efan comes on when im idle... and the temp guage reads half way.... should i just wire it in to the stock electrical system? or should i look for some kinda thermometer?

search FA or here a bit more.
here's my input though:
91-97 or 93-97, can't remembere for sure.

planning on grabbing some from a local junkyard soon too.

just for thought, mine are wired directly to a ignition relay so they are always on instead of controled by temp, and when i turn it off they stay on with the turbo timer, i just figured as hot as SR's run why not.

i think they're from a V6 car...which is why they flow so well

did the altima come w/ a 6 back then?

all altimas with a KA in it will work...

wats so great about the altima fan

the amount of CFM that flows with these fans for the price.... if your going turbo of anykind this is a good and cheap way to use a electric fan that will flow alot of CFM

80's maxima has a nice looking duel electric fan/metal shroud setup that looks nice...

93 to 97 altimas use the same dual fan setup...albiet a different beast than the sr20, my ka-t in my altima (along with all the others) have never EVER had any sort of cooling problem when it comes to daily driving and drag strip. I don't know of any KA-T altimas that competed in SCCA or similar events so I can't give an opinion on that.

But again, no altima owners to date that are turbocharged have had any problems overheating...and these are all with stock nissan/calsonic radiator and fan assembly...

do u think the ebay altima oem-type electric fans (~$100 shipped) are worth it? im assuming they should be up to spec as OEM but has anyone bought these? cant find any junk yards around here with cheaper ones.

advance auto parts also carries electrical fans that seem sufficient and they're like 50 bucks...i think if i slapped 2 of them on it'd be a done deal

what i also found out today is that i have a beat up set of altima fans in my garage lol

just to let you guys know... we did a similar test like those dudes from FA and those autozone/advance auto parts stores like that.... all there electric fans are crap.... total crap..... and they break down really fast using them the proper way.. (cooling at idle and slow moving) this was on a ka-t altima and in florida weather.... so... good luck with them..... i highly recomend searching for some altima fans if your gonna go cheap... but untill then just use your clutch fan....

Altima fans are less than 50 bucks by a good bit and are KNOWN to work. So put that in your bong and take a hit
